Hi there and welcome to author conversations, I'm Chris Dabbs and today is going to be a really good one I think, so stay tuned. I've got Lidi Lee Roberts with me who was born and raised in Texas. She's been a Christian now since she was about eight years old, but I think quite most of us is not really always acted like one, okay? But Jesus came into her life in a mighty and unexpected way. He allowed her, now listen, right? She allowed her to take a picture of himself in the clouds from the mount of olives.

Well her life has changed forever since then as you can imagine and it's her hope that after seeing the picture and reading this book that your life will be changed too. So living in an excited expectation and anticipation and hope like never before with faith exponentially not a multiplied which we think we could all do with. This is her first book and it's divinely inspired. Jesus took her on location to notoh Sicily or notoh Sicily, I've got to say it in an Italian way, right? This is her first book and is divinely inspired.

Jesus took her on location to motoh Sicily for uninterrupted communion with the Holy Spirit and he is knocking at the door and wants to communicate with you face to face. So after that massive build up, literally, hello, how are you today? I hope I can live up to all that. I'm great, I'm really good, thank you. You'll be fine, no, don't you worry about it. Okay, well let's get into it, shall we? And let's start talking about your book, "Quit Line to Children" to my children, right? Now that sounds really interesting, you know, in terms of a title and things.

First of all, tell me about the title, what was that come from? So "Quit Line to my children", I had some people ask me, "Do you have children? Is that your children?" And I'm like, "No, that is God's children." And I believe that there's a lot of lies in this world that are fit forth and not so few of them by religion even. You know, I don't think it's intentional. I think that, you know, through religion, being going to church is a wonderful thing, but a lot of times it inspires fear and it inspires people to turn away from the church.

And God is love, His first two commandments and what He hung everything else on. Was love the Lord that God, with all your heart and soul in mind, and love each other as yourself. And so I think we get away from that in particular in judgment. I don't think we understand sin at all. I think, you know, we think of the sins as like, "Do not murder, do not steal, which yes, those are commandments, but I think in God's reality, sin is sin." If you're not loving your neighbor as yourself, you're in sin.

If you're not, if your whole heart isn't turned to God, that's in sin. So I don't think we're telling the whole story and I don't think we're telling how easy and simple it is. It literally is just to turn your whole heart to God. That is what He wants and that is His love and His hope and how He designed us. That's amazing. I love the way you put that actually. It's really interesting. I can see going back to what you said about how the church sometimes can put people off becoming church governors or perhaps being able to be as faithful as they want to be.

I think that's the thing, isn't it? Is that what you're saying then? Really putting your whole heart towards Him, is it what? Why is that? I think this is the thing is what I agree with you with what you're saying about how we think about the commandments and then we don't realize that sins are pretty much all the time and we're working towards being sinless. I mean, that never kind of happens, does it? That's what we always have to sort of absorb ourselves or things. Yeah, I'm not an expert. You must know far more about this, though, I do.

I don't think it's even that. I mean, I think that's part of the misunderstanding is that, you know, and that drives people away. I think I can never be good enough. I can never do anything. You know, I mean, I think, but it really is as simple as just turning, turning, just think about turning your looking up and saying, Lord, just make me, make me pleasing to you and just saying that in itself is good enough. And that I believe, well, I believe in Jesus, I believe in your Son. Make me pure in Him and pleasing to you.

And that is it. We try to make things so complicated and, you know, I don't think you have to go through every sin that you've ever done since you were born. I don't believe that. I think that I talk about this in chapter 8, until everything that I've ever done bad in chapter 8. A lot of people just go to that chapter to read all the whole of this. I see it's chapter 18, not eight. Yeah, exactly. But how he brings sin up to you, your sins up to you, which he will do. And he expects you to say, you're sorry for that, but not in shame, how he's done it with me.

And I can only assume that's how he works with everybody else. Because he brings it up in the veil of, and this is why you did it. I know you did this, but I also understand why you did it. And it's okay. And I forgive you. And you talk about having a weight released. You know, the devil wants us all to walk around with every sin we've ever done on our backs. He's the one that is accusing us that is, you know, saying in our psyche that you're bad, you're perverted, you're, you know, a drug addict, you're an alcoholic, you're what it, he's the one that has all those labels.

God does not have that. God has nothing but love for us. You know, that's a really good way to put that as well. You're doing well here. I love that. Okay. So we, yes. And I actually understand, I think, that, you know, it's not about being regretful, I think, you know, of course, with a sin. We're infallible, right? That's the whole, or a, we're, we're fallible. That's right. And God is supposed to be infallible, right? So that's the only person that can be, you know, humans, we're not, we're not able to be.

So I think we've got to understand that. And I think that, although we don't, that's very true. No, okay. In the beginning of the book, then you're talking about a hole in the heart. I'm not looking here, you know, that, that only God can fill. Is that what you mean there? Is that like sort of loneliness or, what do you mean by that concept? God created us, and this is all scriptural. God created us for His pleasure. And He created us to love Him. Yes, that's how we were created in perfect love with our creator.

And you probably know all those stories of that, but we've turned against Him. We turned against Him, Adam did in the garden. And we have, I mean, throughout the Bible, we have made bad choices. You know, we wanted a human king. We didn't want him as king. We wanted a human priest. We didn't want him. We've rejected him over and over and over again. And He's allowed us, very patiently, like children, to have these things and live out our choices, you know, that ultimately have harmed us and it separated us from God, which is that hole.

That's not how we, that's not how we were created. That's not how we were meant to live. And so, you know, in this world, we try to fill that hole up with a lot of things. Like, you know, you think your marriage is going to make you happy and fulfilled and it does. But as we all know, you know, it's a hard road too. Your children, the same thing. You think once I have children, I'll be happy. And man, there are a lot of trouble. And you have minds of their own. And you get some of the treatment that we give God, you know, it's the same, it's the our Heavenly Father.

We treat Him the same as our real Father. Even jobs, you know, you think, oh gosh, that's going to make everything all right. And then it does it. And then all those disappointments kind of add up. And, you know, then the really bad, some people start turning to drugs or alcohol or sex or, you know, things that make you feel good in the moment. Even your iPhone, your streaming devices, whatever. I mean, I think sin is anything that draws you away from God. And that is the misunderstanding, you know, man in the devil, there are heat judges, people.

He's the one that judges, oh, you know, that's you're bad. You're drinking too much. You're doing this, you're having sex outside of marriage. I mean, the Lord doesn't like it, but He understands it. And He understands that your heart is ultimately seeking Him. And Satan is blinding the path to Him with all of these other temptations. He knows who to blame. And it's not you. And you see that this is the same. Exactly. It's the same. Right. So there we are. I mean, you know, I, you know, I think this is the thing, right?

And I think you have come to realize all of this because of your study of scripture, I think, is that right? Is that why you sort of, you know, you suggest to people to study scripture so that they can also understand this? It's not only that, I mean, it, yes, that is scripture, but with the Holy Spirit. I think a lot of people, and I did that when I was young, because I went to Baptist high school. I went to Baptist college and I studied, but at that point, it was more intellectual, you know, I was memorizing things and, you know, more being tested on, do I know the history and blah, blah, blah.

I think my understanding now, after developing my relationship with the Holy Spirit is that the Bible is meant as a lifelong kind of scavenger hunt. And you can't do it. You can't understand it without having the Holy Spirit with you. So I mean, I will, I'm sitting here, I have Romans 8 in front of me. I was nervous, so I was reading that. It's one of my favorite chapters of the Bible. And I read, I read it completely different today. Like, and that's what I'm talking about, the Holy Spirit will open your mind slowly, ever so slowly.

And throughout your whole life, you'll, you know, you'll have favorite things and then he'll just, oh, I add little bits at a time. And it's a beautiful, beautiful relationship with your God. This is his love letter to you. I mean, you shouldn't think of it as a burden to memorize or, you know, whatever, to a burden. It is, it is a conversation. It's how he teaches you and it's how you learn the heart of God, which is what I've discovered. Yeah. So I guess. Yeah. I think that's the whole point. And that's why in this, I encourage everybody to do it for themselves because there's a lot of, I think the devil works through everything in this life.

He works through politics for sure. Everybody can see that. I think, you know, he's, he's the author of confusion, right? In this world, in general, is confused right now. And even in church, there's confusion over what to believe and what had, you know, what this, this doctor in that doctor, it's just about God's love. Just keep it simple. And as long as you are reading yourself and you have that relationship with Christ, I mean, you'll, you'll, you will discern and you will know the difference when people are speaking truth and when they're not.

Because there's a lot of who looks out there. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Well, I think this is the thing, isn't it, right? So you were reading Romans 8 before our meeting, right? So before our chat, and that helped you to overcome, because you felt, you felt, well, not so lonely, I guess, right? In the thing, because you were in, in this, you know, context. And again, yeah, I, again, I'm, I'm seedless more and more. The more people I talk to, in order for conversations, a lot of people talk about the Holy Spirit and, you know, and being a very big guiding person, you know, to us, which is amazing.

And then of course, if you are reading scripture, you're not doing it because it's a task. You're not doing it because it's homework, as you said, right? You're not a college. You're not tested. Yeah. You're doing it for your own, well, because you enjoy it, right? Mm-hmm. Well, I think it's, I think it's life-giving. I think it's, it's renewal. It is, it's, it makes you come alive. Yeah, it's no like reading Harry Potter, right? Certainly. You know, at the end of the day, it's making use of you.

Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. I mean, understanding the love that your creator has for you is life-giving and understanding the forgiveness that is there. And sometimes even that can become tried in the way that people say that, you know? I think, because some people, I think that's also because of how we judge each other, right? And they believe that their sins would never be forgiven or that they would have to go before God and say all this stuff that I did. Harry knows what you did. And I guarantee you, after thousands of years, you're not going to surprise him with a sin that he doesn't know.

I don't care anymore. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. Oh, I'm glad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I think that, you know, that sort of guidance and that help from the Holy Spirit and for God as well, you know, is an interesting thing. As you say in this, in today's world, right? You know, we have got so many things going on that, you know, it's, it's very easy to become overwhelmed, isn't it, right now? And, you know, it is. It is. It is. So how can people who perhaps haven't done before, right? Who are feeling overwhelmed right now and there must be lots of them?

How can they make that first step then towards God and towards the Holy Spirit and towards everything, you know, feeling that sort of solace and, and I don't know, accompaniment, you know, help, you know, just that better feeling. What's their first step? So they should take to reconnect perhaps with God. Right. Well, I think, you know, I think sometimes this is where Christians intimidate non-Christians because they get up and say these massive prayers. Oh, you know, angels come fly here and take this and do this and blah, blah, blah, blah.

You know, and that's great, but you alone in your room. I mean, if you want to get underneath your shore, but I mean, just laying in bed, you just Lord, I can't take what's going on anymore and I've never, I've never talked to you. I don't even know that I believe in you, but will you please just give me some kind of sign and maybe give me a little faith like, like these people that I see because I, I want to believe and I want to know you. And I, that he will open your eyes to miracles that have always been around you.

It's, it's really a matter of perspective, but you just have to take a tiny step and that's enough. That prayer right there. If you want to copy that, that is enough. That's it. If you want to read the battle, do it, but you know what? That is enough. And then slowly keep talking to him, slowly he'll, he'll show you where he wants you to re-first and what, you know, I, you know, I don't have children, but I have a lot of nieces and nephews. And you talk to your children, you don't talk to all your children the same.

You talk to, you talk to them differently because you know their personalities and everything else. God is the same way. He knows to out of how to talk to each of our hearts because He created us. And so it's wonderful and, and just reach out to him, he's there. He's always there. He's dying. He's been chasing each of us. He's been chasing all of us for thousands and thousands of years. His whole, his will is for all to come to repentance. They probably won't. And that's another word that is misused repentance that's translated in the Bible as "tenshiva" in, in the Jewish in Hebrew.

And it, it means like I was talking about it, just to turn yourself to him, not to go through your list of sins. I don't, I mean, whatever. Turn yourself to him. That's it. Come out of this world and turn towards me. So that's a great first step, you know, don't really, you know, it doesn't have to be complicated, like you say. Not some massive, long, you know, written down institutional prayer. Just start, start the conversation, right? Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I'll see, you know, like, it's just amazing listening to you.

You sound very wise and you don't look old enough to be wise, to be fair. I'm very old. I'm very old. This is, this is the Jesus happy base. This is what I think I'm going to do. I know that. I know that. Yeah. So, yeah, that's very right, I think. And, you know, I think the reader is looking to read a book that that's friendly, that's written by a wise person that hasn't got a big agenda, you know, that is just looking to do this. It is, you know, so refreshing to be fair in the, especially in this world.

So, readers, make sure that you take a look at this. So as far as readers are concerned, okay? If there was one message that your readers could take away from reading your book, what do you think that that should be in relation to their relationship with Christ? I guess you've probably already said it. I mean, what do you think they should be thinking about? We hope that they know. I think just looking internally, you know, and understanding, you know, I have always been missing something. I mean, if you, here's another thing, one of the hardest things to do in this world, I think, is to sit in silence.

We are, we're kind of terrified of it. We either have music on, we've got TV on, we're, I mean, it is rare that you just sit there with yourself. It is extremely uncomfortable the first few times that you do it. But I think if you do that and seek the Lord, I think you'd be shocked at what you find. And like I said, I'm not going to tell you what you find because it's different for everybody, but you'll find it. I promise that. And I think, you know, looking at the Bible as His level, as His level, as His level, language, is a beautiful thing and a beautiful way to have, begin the relationship of your life, begin the relationship that you were meant for, and that you can take, you know, forever, that you will have forever.

Nothing in this life is forever, but that is, and that is true. And He will open your eyes slowly to the things around you that are just amazing. The other thing, and I know it's kind of, it's crazy to talk about, but I, the Lord moved me to write about it is the Antichrist, and I know that that scares the, the Jesus out of people because of movies and stuff, how they portrayed everything and the Antichrist in the Bible literally means instead of Christ. He's not coming as, as some big battle. He is literally Satan disguised as Jesus.

And people that have not read or haven't prayed about it, I think God will give that to them too, will be deceived. And I, you know, He's not coming to kill a bunch of people. He's coming to put a chicken in every pot. Everybody, you know, everybody, I'll make everybody rich. You don't have to work anymore. You don't have to do anything. Just worship me. I'm here. And it is going to be extremely deceiving. And I truly believe that he will come saying that he's the rapture too. That's another part of the quit line to my children.

I don't think the churches that are preaching that are doing that maliciously or on purpose, trying to deceive people. But it is. It is a terrible deception that is coming. The word rapture is nowhere in the Bible that came from a woman in the 1830s that had a vision. Even she herself said that it was evil, felt evil when she had it. The scripture that's most linked to that is second Thessalonians and it talks about meeting God in the clouds and everything. But all this scripture says he is coming here.

He is establishing his kingdom here. And those clouds that he's coming on when Moses finished the tabernacle, it was filled with the cloud. And you know what that cloud was? It was the glory of God. So it's going to be the glory of God here on earth, not us going to meet Him in the clouds too. And if you think about it too, like God wouldn't, He wouldn't do that to us. He wouldn't just take a few people up there. His best Christians. He's just going to take a few of them and leave them. Everybody else, our brothers and sisters down there with no help, that doesn't make sense.

He doesn't operate like that. That is terrible. And I wouldn't believe in a God that would do that. That's awful. And I wouldn't do that as much as I love my brothers and sisters. I want to be here to warn them. I want to be here to witness against that guy because he's leading people away and good people. They're really good people in the church that will go, oh my gosh, I've been unknowingly worshipping Satan that looked like Jesus. I had no idea. And then it says they will pray for the mountains to fall on because they'll be so embarrassed.

So that's nothing to be scared of, nothing to be, it's just to know. It's just to have that knowledge, you know. And when you know what is going to happen, when you know the plan of attack, when we know everything, then you're not afraid. There's nothing to be afraid of. As a matter of fact, Jesus before He left gave us power over serpents and scorpions. And He also gave us power over the power of the enemy. So it's again, nothing to be afraid of, but something we need to know. Well, again, yeah.

Can you stop being wise? No, don't. But I mean, you know, everything you're right. Absolutely. I think the rancher kind of, you know, thing, as it were, is interesting again because, yeah, there are churches out there who put a specific number on that sort of thing about who's going to be saved and reasons why and all of that sort of thing. And that's always made me think, like you, you know, hey, hang on a second, that's not really kind of nice. But I mean, you know, they have their own deal, they, whatever.

But I think it's, yeah, I get what you're saying. I get what you're saying. So you mentioned the antiprised and what you're saying is it's not that safe and dire again, but it's anyone, or we can be safe, I guess, it can be anything that takes you away from Christ. Is that what you meant? No, the antiprised is a person that will come pretending to be Christ. He hasn't, he hasn't gotten here yet. A lot of people are like, oh, Trump's the antiprised or whoever. I mean, no, this will be a show. He will be supernatural because it will be safe in himself.

He will be supernatural and he will look like Christ and people will be deceived. All of that is biblical, all of it. So again, nothing to be afraid of just for knowledge and for preparation and, you know, tell your friends and family and, you know, because it's going to be, I don't think that, I don't think the people that are deceived, that God is going to zap them. Like, I got, you know, you fell for the wrong guy, so I'm going to get you. I think it's more their shame because they'll, they, they will just feel ashamed that they did not know, that they did not read the Bible, that they followed the things that were preached in some churches and not, not backed up scripturally, you know.

It's a sad thing. It is a sad thing. But I mean, God is a loving God, he's not, you know, and it even, it did, the Bible talks about God blinding, blinding some people on purpose because if they knew the truth, then they would be responsible for the truth. They would be held up to that standard, but he knew that some of them couldn't handle it, so they're purposely blinded until Jesus comes. So he, he doesn't, he needs our, he doesn't need our help. He has, he knows exactly who he's touching, where he's putting everything and it's perfect.

So. Yeah, basically, we put a bear with it, right? And we got to, we have to deal with, with ourselves and don't worry about the larger picture or plan or anything like that. It's just deal with ourselves and, and work the way they, you think, you think so. And, and, and witness, you know, the, the great commission is to go out and tell the world of Jesus and all that. And I believe that, but I think, you know, we try to make it grander than, than, individually, than it is. That can be as much as just like you and I talking, like my, my, talking to your kids or your mother or your neighbor or whatever.

And I truly believe God puts people in front of you that, that he wants you to talk to, to that level every, every day. Like it, it, yeah, you don't have to seek them out and worry about how am I going to do this and I'm going to have a podcast. I'm not going to, you know, whatever. I mean, he knows how he's doing it. He need to relax, he just need to relax in his love and let it flow. He's got it. Exactly. There is this. Literally. Well, let's talk about that because it, obviously, we're running out of time now.

I'm fortunate, they, which is always the way, you know, I get into this big conversation and then we run out of time. So, I'm really, it's such a shame. But can you tell us then about, well, basically the photograph, what can you tell us about that without giving away, you know, everything, you know, in the book and that and this. It sounds amazing. So I was in Jerusalem. I went on a trip with CBN with the 700 Club and I stayed in Jerusalem afterwards and I kept trying to go up to the temple mount.

And the dome of the rock that is on the temple mount is a Muslim now that's also where Solomon's temple was. It's Mount Moriah. There's a lot of history on that temple mount. So every time I went up there, they were closed for prayers. They were having prayers and they make a big deal that you're not allowed to pray up there. And so I had a journal with me that had a little cross on it. I went through this security bank as finally it was open like the third or fourth time that I went up there and the guy grabbed it and he said, you can't take this up there.

And I said, it's not a Bible. It's just my journal. And he looked through it and kind of threw it back at me and I was like, oh my gosh. So I go up there and I felt the Lord telling me to go say the Lord's Prayer. So I went over across from the Mount of Allah's on the temple mount and I said the Lord's Prayer and I filmed myself even doing it. And I don't know if you know the words prayer, but it's our Father who art in heaven. Howl would be thy name? Thy kingdom come. Thy kingdom come here. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation. The deliverers from evil. Perthine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. So I did that. I left there. I went to the tomb where they say the tomb was they're not sure if it's it or not. And of course he wasn't there. I wanted to go to a dominoes pleb it which is a church. It's shaped like a tear drop on the Mount of Allah's and it is a tribute to where he prayed and wept for us in wept for Jerusalem.

And so I went up there and this man comes behind me and he says do you want some coffee? And I was like what? Because it is like a hundred degrees and I've just come up the Mount of Allah's and I'm just sweaty. And I was like no thanks. You know, and he offered me some water. And I said no, I'm I just want to go in this church. And I'm probably going over way too long but I just went and prayed for a little bit and then he I the church the people came out and so then I went in there and he came in there and I mean we talked and took pictures and then he walked me around the grounds and just started teaching me like showing me trees.

The first one was a tree that had these thorns and they were like this long and he's like that's the Spina Christa. That's what the tree was made of that was Christ thorns. We think of the thorns as like this big they were this big and they were like nails. I mean crazy and then he took me to a locust tree and showed me that and he picked off a thing and he opened the beams inside and he goes these are carrots. This is how they used to weigh you know like the gold and stuff like that. And I mean at the time I was just it didn't even occur to me that this is a major tourist place and it's just me and him walking around for 45 minutes.

Nobody else. His name was David and you know we spent a long time together he gave me a big hug and I walked out and I looked over and up into the sky and it looked at the time I just thought the sky looked crazy like the sun it almost looked like a a tomb like a tomb that had a light behind it but that didn't register to me at the time. So I just I've been taking pictures of the sky the whole time I was there because it was doing some crazy stuff and I didn't think about it. I didn't see till two months later I'm looking through my pictures and I'm like that looks like someone sitting on top of the sun and so I have an online ministry called Pray for me that's on Facebook so I thought well I'll put it on there maybe somebody you know know something or whatever and so I put it on there and somebody said turn it upside down and I mean it's not it's undeniable you can see the face of Jesus you can see the crown you can see everything and the sweetest part is I mean besides that Jesus exists for the entire world to see and I actually have a picture of him I have no idea why he let me do that but he did and but I think it has to do with that prayer his kingdom come his will be done it it opened somehow something and but he took he put something very personal in that picture he's holding a dog in his arms which is crazy and I had just put I don't have any children so Gigi was like my daughter she was my my kid and she had passed away not two months before I had to put her down and that was exactly he was holding her exactly how I held her when we had to put her down so I mean he cares about us to that level and even our animals you know I don't know what else to say yeah it's him and he's good to have a look at that

and read through everything because you know Lidi Lee it's fantastic it's been great talking to you though I absolutely enjoy living in it a bit I think I'm gonna I'm gonna go away from this conversation thinking about all sorts of things you know especially you know the rapture you mentioned you know the photograph I'm definitely searching that out you know I'm make all sorts of things basically so I hope that your readers will and listeners and viewers forget our viewers will also do the same thing as well you know Lidi Lee Roberts it's absolutely great for that absolutely God bless you I really appreciate it Chris is so beautiful to meet you thank you for doing this to meet you too now listen everybody make sure that you look at the ministry then that Lidi Lee has online then you say that's on Facebook what's the name of ministry again pray for me it's called pray for me pray for me not pray for you pray for me yes so that's all good and do you have a website or anything else like that that that people can find you it's at a quit lying to my children.com and I probably shouldn't say this but I the whole book is on that website God didn't want anybody to confuse my motivations for any of this so it's
